Buhari Approves N21bn For Construction And Equipping Of 14-bed Presidential Clinic

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the construction and equipping of a 14-bed space Presidential Clinic at a cost of N21 billion.

The Permanent Secretary State House, Umar Tijjani, disclosed this to members of the Senate Committee on Federal Character while presenting a N40 billion budget proposal for the statehouse on Thursday, October 28.

While making his presentation, Tijjani said the Presidential Clinic was conceived in 2012 by the previous administration and will be open to people from other African countries for medical treatment. President Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo

He added that the clinic will have a laboratory, healing garden, pharmacy, and x-ray facility, as well as an operating theatre, executive suite, and isolation areas.

He further said most of the preliminary work has been concluded and a Certificate of No Objection has been sought from the Bureau of Public Procurement.

Nigerian Actor Arrested For Peddling Drugs In India

Nigerian national, Chekwume Malvin, who works as an actor in the Indian film industry has been arrested for allegedly peddling drugs . The 45-year-old was caught red-handed on Wednesday near the BDA Complex in HRBR Layout by operatives of the Indian Police Service, attached to the K.G. Halli police division . The police seized about 15 grams of MDMA, 250 ml of hashish oil, ₹2,500 (N13, 850) in cash and a mobile phone. The total value of the seized items is estimated to be around ₹8 lakh (N44).
