A boarding school is a school where students live and study. It is an institution where children live within premises while being given formal instruction. The word “boarding” is used in the sense of “room and board”, i.e. lodging and meals. In some schools, the day-students live in their homes and come to school, while attending the same class with the boarders. When the close of the day comes, the day students return to their homes, while the boarders return to their dormitories in the school premises.  Attending a boarding school has its pros and cons, but here we will be looking at societal ills that start in boarding school. The US government has won its High Court bid to overturn a judge’s decision not to extradite Julian Assange on spying charges. Assange, 50, is wanted in the US on allegations of a conspiracy to obtain and disclose national defence information following WikiLeaks’s publication of hundreds of thousands of leaked documents relating to the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. US authorities brought a High Court challenge against a January ruling by then-district judge Vanessa Baraitser that Assange should not be sent to the US, in which she cited a real and “oppressive” risk of suicide.
